John Reynolds, Founder & Executive Director
John Reynolds started Veterans2Work in 2008 to help disabled veterans succeed in the job market by encouraging businesses to invest in the productive potential of special needs veterans and their caregivers.
Prior to founding Veterans2Work,he launched or helped start more than two dozen companies, a few of which were eventually acquired by publicly traded companies. He also founded and ran Intervox Group, a customer contact center consulting and services company recognized as an industry innovator. There, he helped more than 60 companies transform their customer facing operations.
His corporate career includes sales, marketing and business development roles at Carnation Company, Progressive Insurance, Wells Fargo Bank, U.S. Sprint and systems integrator eLoyalty.
He served as an infantryman in the Vietnam War with A Troop, 4/12 Cavalry in the 5th Infantry Division. He holds a BA from Ohio State University and an MBA from Stanford University.
Mandy Benoist, Development Coordinator
Mandy brings her passion for veterans' causes and her positive energy to helping drive our charitable giving program. Married to a disabled former Navy Corpsman, she knows first-hand the unique challenges of disabled veterans. "I see the uphill battles faced daily by injured men and women as they try to transition back to the life they enjoyed as civilians, and I think we can do more."
Mandy is the proud mother of three beautiful children. Prior to becoming a full time mom, she was a Youth Minister for 8 years.
Wendy Mitchell, Call Center Manager
Wendy has been in the call center field for over 15 years. She specializes in recruiting, training, and management. She has recruited, trained, and managed over 200 work-from-home agents and lead generators, providing personalized support as required. Most of her experience is in virtual work environments, but she has also worked in a few site-based call centers. Her recent experience was in Quality Assurance and Technical Support.
Her husband has served 11 years in the U.S.ARMY, and is now working in Iraq as a contractor. Wendy has 2 children, a 12-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old boy. They love traveling, fishing, and cooking together. She has an Associate’s Degree in Animal Science, and has worked for many years as a Vet Tech. Wendy’s goal is to help veterans and their caregivers find a place in the workforce that fits their needs.
Jeffery Sanford, Veteran Outreach
Jeff Sanford brings considerable passion for helping fellow disabled veterans the Veterans2Work mission. In his words, "When I
talked to John, I couldn't wait to jump on board the V2W team. I understand what our Veterans are going through because I have been living through some of the same things myself in recent months. Our mission is simple and straightforward: to help find veterans meaningful work that they can do within the limits of their disabilities. That's why I have adopted the motto 'No Veteran Left Behind'."
Ken Stoughton, Human Resources
Ken Stoughton is a retired Air Force DAV (disabled American veteran) having served two tours of duty at a few locations in Southeast Asia. Ken has over 20 years of experience in human resources and has demonstrated these skills through management and executive level positions in government, retail, publishing, finance, and health care. He has built human resource departments, authored corporate policies, directed multi-state human resource branches, and developed performance measurement programs for Fortune 500 organizations.
Ken received a bachelor of science degree in the management of human resources and an associate of applied sciences degree in personnel administration.
